Seasons

Spring

Spring is generally a pleasant season, as the cold of winter has been replaced by the soft warmth of the oncoming summer. Food and water are plentiful, and as a result cubs are usually born strong and healthy.

Food Available:
Mice, hare, rabbits, gazelle, zebra, deer, fish, birds.

Summer

Summer is a difficult season, as the strong heat disrupts sleeping and hunting patterns. Certain types of food will become harder to capture, and most of the smaller water supplies dry up. Giving birth might be more difficult, and queens will need to make sure to stay hydrated.

Food Available: Mice, hare, gazelle, zebra, buffalo, deer, fish, wildebeast, birds.

Autumn

Autumn is a warning of the winter to come, but provides a temporary relief from the harsher seasons. Animals will start to migrate, and as a result food will start to become scarce, although water will be plentiful. Giving birth may or may not be difficult, depending on the weather conditions.

Food Available: Hare, gazelle, zebra, buffalo, moose, fish, birds.

Winter

Winter is a harsh season. Heavy snow and bad weather conditions will make travelling and hunting difficult, and winter has a much higher death rate in cubs. Food is scarce, and many of the water supplies are frozen.

Food Available: Buffalo, moose, deer, fish, birds

Weather

Sunny

Perfect conditions for hunting if a cat has a light coloured pelt

Cloudly

Perfect conditions for hunting if a cat has a dull coloured pelt

Rainy

Vision will be somewhat obscured, so hunting may be more difficult and injuries more common.

Windy

Hunting may be harder, and cats are warned against travelling on high mountains or hills/

Stormy

If there is a storm brewing, food might not be as easy to find. Waves may be larger, so take care when on the shore.
